The challenge

- Web Development
Swagat cooks North Indian, Indo-Chinese and Nepali food under one roof, and its regulars already loved the kitchen. Online it looked like any other template restaurant.
The old site had a long menu that was hard to use on a phone, no sense of the warmth of the dining room, and nothing that gave a first-time diner a reason to choose Swagat over the place next door.
Swagat means welcome. We built the restaurant a website that says it before a guest ever reaches the door on 118 Avenue.

What success had to look like.
Hospitality first
A first impression that feels like being welcomed into an Indian home, not handed a flyer.
A menu people can use
150+ dishes across three kitchens, searchable and filterable for vegetarian, spicy and house favourites.
Built for phones
Most diners decide on a phone, so every section had to read and tap cleanly at thumb size.
Services on this project.

Menu UX
Instant search, dietary filters and sticky category tabs across the full menu.
How it came together.
The visit opens with a namaste: two hennaed brass hands that part like temple doors to reveal the homepage. From there a brass thali fills itself course by course as you scroll — basmati, butter chicken, shahi paneer, chana masala, garlic naan and gulab jamun — each with its story and price.
The menu became its own dark, candle-lit room. Guests can search 150+ dishes, filter for vegetarian, spicy or house favourites, and jump between categories with tabs that stay pinned as they scroll. The story and visit pages carry the same warmth, with a live open-or-closed status, hours, and one-tap directions and calling.
